Program Manager is responsible for providing a range of financial
support services to the administrative and operating leadership f
the Cambridge Health Alliance Accountable Care (ACO) Organization.
The role will be a key financial point of contact for financial
activities that bridge the Physicians, external organizations, and
the Accountable Care Organizational activities. This position is
accountable for two key programmatic responsibilities: 1)
management of the financial elements of DSRIP funding for the
Accountable Care Partnership Plan contract with EOHHS and Tufts
Public Health Plans and 2) managing ACO program activities,
including the physician incentive fund distribution model.
Essential functions include analyzing and validating financial and
risk contract performance data, financial and statistical
performance reporting, performance improvement reporting and
support, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, direct
interaction with the various administrative and medical leaders as
well as external organizations such as Medicaid and Tufts Health
Plan. Routine functions include researching, analyzing and
preparing reports on budgeting, operational, financial and
statistical trends as they relate to ACO and risk contract
performance. The role will support reporting across regions,
practices and individual providers. The role will also support the
development of various ad hoc analyses as required including but
not limited to researching, analyzing and preparing reports on risk
contract performance, financial and industry trends and provide
recommendations as such.
This position requires an advanced level of expertise with
spreadsheets and complex databases and a willingness to study and
understand external requirements and translate these into practical
budgeting tools and reporting methods for both internal and
external stakeholders. Work involves a high degree of individual
initiative, independent judgment, ability to work with people
across several functions, and excellent communication skills.
Additional general requirements include: Bachelor degree required
in finance or healthcare related field. Master degree preferred in
finance or healthcare preferred. Minimum of seven years of
professional finance experience in a health care organization,
preferably in a PO and ACO environment/risk-contracting
environment. Ability to present complicated materials in multiple
forums and at an executive and staff level using presentation tools
e.g. charts and graphs to communicate results. Ability to
communicate appropriately with internal and external parties
Ability to function independently and manage multiple deliverables
and timelines Ability to develop project plans and manage work-load
and deliverables to successful conclusion Requires significant
interfacing, collaboration and coordination with Sr. Director of
Network Relations, the Director of Regulatory Compliance, CHA
Financial services and outside entities as needed.
