Mystic Valley Regional Charter School -Staff Accountant -Description:--- Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for the items described below. -

Job Summary:--- - -

• Prepare financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance -
• Enter accounting related information into school's accounting software -
• Oversee Accounts Payable process -
  • Review purchase orders and work orders -
  • Assist in preparing annual budget and input into school's accounting software -
  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy -
  • Organize and update financial records and monthly and annual variance analysis -
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs - -
    • Periodically auditing payroll and expenses -
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations -
    • Prepare documentation for external auditors -
    • Assist in preparing Annual Report and Charter School End of Year Financial Report -
    • Assist Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations in school operation matters as needed. -Qualifications, knowledge and skills required: -
      • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting and finance -
      • Ability to show sensitivity to confidential matters. -
      • Takes initiative, follow through, and works independently -

        • Strong work ethic in time management -
