is a public charter school located in Malden Massachusetts. The
school serves more than1,550 students in grades K-12 on four
campuses in Malden: Kindergarten at 576 Eastern Avenue; the lower
school (1-8) at 770 Salem Street and the high school (9-12) at 238
and 306 Highland Avenue. The school draws students primarily from
the cities of: Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Stoneham and
Wakefield. The school has adopted the extended day and extended
school year model in which classes go from 8:00 to 3:30 each day of
a 200 day school year. Job Summary Our school needs a School Nurse
to care for our students. We’re looking for a caring,
compassionate, experienced professional who loves taking care of
children and excels at communication and engagement. The position
requires administrative work as well as one-on-one time with
students, and we’re looking for an individual who truly cares about
making our school a better place for our students. Responsibilities
and Duties Evaluate patients who complain of specific ailments Call
parents to suggest they pick up patients who might be uncomfortable
or who might have developed a contagious illness Educate students
on hand washing, germs and other health care and safety issues
Examine and authenticate vaccination records Contact parents and
teachers with any medical emergency Develop and manage school
health and wellness program Maintain files on each student’s health
and medical history Qualifications and Skills Bachelor of Nursing
required 2 years’ experience at a school or in an educational
environment Impeccable organisation skills Able to establish
