Job Description:

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description: We are seeking a skilled engineer with a sold background in aerospace welding and sheet metal fabrication of thin gage/large diameter material.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop welding and sheet metal fabrication processes. Design weld fixtures Process improvement of current weld and sheet metal processes to increase productivity Investigate welding related issues and implement corrective actions to weld non-conformances Develop weld repairs Reviewing welding procedures, processes, and documentation for compliance with drawings and specifications Leading welding and sheet metal projects to meet customer requirements Develop fixturing and work instructions for various types of sheet metal, bench and deburring equipment/operations Implement cost reduction ideas in sheet metal fabrication Work with quality to investigate and resolve nonconformance in sheet metal product Work with all personnel involved in design, development, implementation and manufacture of sheet metal and welded assemblies Work with business development to provide time and tooling cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication and welded assemblies Qualifications:
Degree in weld engineering or mechanical/manufacturing engineering or equivalent Experience with GTAW (manual and auto), resistance and seam welding including the development of schedules for each AWS Certified welding inspector (CWI) Experience with expanding, spinning, roll forming and laser processes preferred General knowledge of aerospace specifications for welding and sheet metal fabrication Proven work experience in aerospace industry Experience with developing weld processes and failure analysis Solid background with technical communication/writing Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings/Specifications/Standards and obtain part information, to include understanding of GD&T Must be able to manage time effectively Familiar with physical and welding metallurgy of nickel and aluminum alloys The ideal candidate should be a team player, highly skilled, enthusiastic, and detail oriented.
