Job Description:

As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic at US Foods, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks, ensuring that our vast array of products continues to reach our customers efficiently and safely. With a focus on quality and reliability, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicular systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment using the latest tools and technology to contribute to the success of one of America’s leading foodservice distributors. Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines and other truck systems. Diagnose and repair breakdowns, focusing on minimizing downtime. Maintain accurate records of each repair and maintenance performed. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the work area. Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve service quality. Manage parts inventory and place orders as necessary to ensure availability. In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification strongly preferred. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus.
