These systems allow end users to protect people and property. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will join our Hardware Engineering Team as part of our Connected Aviation business. This is an opportunity to join a team supporting the next generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, as well as providing support to existing fielded systems. We are seeking a mechanical engineer with experience in electronic design, comfortable working with commercial off-the-shelf and custom hardware designs to achieve system requirements. This opportunity requires a combination of classic design techniques, modern electronics knowledge, and hands-on prototyping skills. What You Will Do: Perform analysis, qualification and acceptance testing on components, assemblies, mechanical fixtures and/or structures Perform and/or oversee preliminary and detailed design activities, ensuring the technical integrity of products meeting all program requirements Lead or participate as an independent reviewer in peer reviews to ensure documented processes are followed, work products are validated for producibility and affordability, and proper documentation standards are followed Conduct testing activities in the lab in support of Engineering Change Proposals. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
