Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Web Application Development
Manager 1, will be responsible for developing and supporting the product
master system; troubleshooting and resolving application issues in
production and development environments; collaborating with the team to
define requirements; documenting technical specifications; designing
end-to-end solutions; implementing features across the full application
stack including database, API, web application and JavaScript;
resolving software defects and improving code quality; working with test
engineers to ensure test cases and plans are appropriately developed
and automated; and supporting the release process by documenting
changes, and by providing technical support for release activities. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent)
in Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered
or five (5) years of experience in full-stack Java web development. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise performing web design and
development including designing rich internet content using HTML, CSS,
and JavaScript; applying unit and system level testing methodologies
to JavaScript web UIs; and performing back-end testing using
JUnit. • Demonstrated expertise designing and developing reusable
web components using JavaScript and web frameworks --
Backbone.js, AngularJS, and jQuery; and developing Java REST Web Services
using JUnit. • Demonstrated expertise assessing and manipulating
databases using SQL; mapping Java objects to database objects using
Hibernate; and writing scripts to integrate enterprise web applications with
SOLR. • Demonstrated expertise executing end user sessions for requirements gathering, user case review, documenting
