Job DescriptionOur client, a leading baked goods company, is currently seeking an ambitious Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to help lead their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a go-getter attitude and a drive to succeed. Responsibilities include:1) Schedule and oversee plant compliance with the food safety and quality management system through monitoring, verification, and validation activities2) Ensure that critical limits and food safety and quality controls remain current and effective3) Remain current and ensure compliance with product labeling requirements4) Ensure plant is audit-ready at all times and oversee any customer, third-party and regulatory audits5) Evaluate non-conformities and deviations through root cause analysis and provide recommendations and guidance for resolution6) Develop and oversee the plant's microbiological testing program to ensure food safety and quality and effective sanitation practices7) Oversee new product development from product concept through launch and implementation8) Develop and deliver employee training, as it relates to the food safety and quality management system9) Oversee the Sanitation Department and ensure effective plant sanitationCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
