Chief Operating Officer - Corporate Functions, EVPThe Chief
Operating Officer (COO) - Corporate Functions will be responsible
for driving operational efficiency, strategic execution, and
process optimization across the company's corporate functions. This
role will oversee critical business areas including Finance, Risk,
Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, IT, and Corporate Strategy to
ensure seamless integration and alignment with the company's
broader business goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Accomplished senior operations executive and/or technology
leader with a successful record in transforming and streamlining
operations and technology infrastructure resulting in
organizational efficiency and a variety of front, middle and
back-office automation tools and solutions that drive the business
forward
- Results-focused individual with the persistence and patience
necessary to work effectively with a variety of internal and
external constituencies and drive results; demonstrated business
knowledge acumen and ability to handle multiple priorities yet able
to prioritize and effectively be the point of escalation on the
most important deliverables or pressing issues of the moment
- Highly experienced in supporting such areas as administration,
regulatory reporting, risk management and program management on a
global basis
- Passion for driving efficiency, building successful enterprise
solutions and realizing business value through operational
efficiency and leveraging data
- Demonstrated interest and ability to anticipate and identify
emerging problems and trends in a complex setting and
collaboratively reach resolution; embraces a continual improvement
mindset that results in more efficient business processes and
technology solutions, and adoption through effective change
management
- Lead the operational strategy for corporate functions, ensuring
alignment with overall company objectives.
- Develop and implement operational frameworks to enhance
efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance across all
corporate divisions.
- Oversee corporate governance, risk management, and compliance
functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and
industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR leadership to optimize
workforce planning, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Drive transformation initiatives, leveraging technology to
improve business processes and operational effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous
improvement within corporate functions.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
on operational and strategic matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external
stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, business partners, and
investors.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, ensuring talent
development and succession planning for key roles.Qualifications &
Experience:
- 20+ years of experience in senior operational leadership roles
within financial services or a related industry.
- Strong track record of managing corporate functions, including
Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, HR, and IT.
- Deep understanding of financial regulations, corporate
governance, and operational risk management.
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams in a
complex, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in driving business transformation, process
improvement, and digital initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving
skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a
