Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician Job Specialty: Operating Room Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-16:30 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Experience in Cardiac Surgery (CABG/Valve Replacements/Aorta Replacement/Bentall Procedures), excluding transplants - Experience in Thoracic Surgery, Thoracotomy, and VATS; robotic thoracic experience is a significant advantage - Vascular Surgery experience, including carotid and femoral endarterectomy, dialysis cath, and peripheral vascular bypass (e.g., Fem-Pop bypass) - Basic endovascular procedures including groin or radial access, angiography/angioplasty, EVAR/TEVAR - DaVinci Robot and Endovascular Suite equipment handling Job Description: • Work in an operating room setting with 10 ORs • Be part of a team of approximately 50 staff members consisting of day shift RNs, STs, and UAs, as well as a night shift call team • Manage patient care with a 1:1 patient ratio • Perform open heart surgeries, both basic and complex, along with specialized thoracic and vascular procedures • Participate in call coverage and potentially stay late one night a week and cover nights two times a week as needed • Follow standard operating room guidelines and regulations • Wear provided scrub attire • Work on weekends and holidays as needed on a rotating basis • Embrace a "work hard, play nice" personality and enjoy call coverage responsibilities Note: The hospital name, location, and client specifics have been removed to meet privacy and non-disclosure standards.
