Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our premiere healthcare team. You will work alongside experienced therapists to provide exceptional care, implement patient treatment plans, and contribute to the recovery and improved health of our patients. This role is pivotal in assisting patients achieve their maximum level of physical activity, managing pain, and providing rehabilitation post-surgery or injury. Implementing physical therapy treatment plans devised by the physical therapist. Assisting patients with exercises and movements designed to help them achieve functional recovery. Monitoring patient progress and responding to their inquiries or concerns. Documenting patient responses to treatments and reporting outcomes to the supervising physical therapist. Maintaining equipment and ensuring treatment areas are clean and organized. Educating patients and their families about treatments and home exercises. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including moving and lifting patients. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatments. Proficiency with healthcare IT systems.
