Job Description:

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. Located across a network of clinics, our facilities focus on offering high-intensity, individualized rehabilitation programs specifically designed to assist patients in recovering independence post-surgery, injury or serious illness. In this role, you will work closely under the direction of certified occupational therapists to implement therapeutic plans that help patients regain daily living and work skills. The right candidate will be critical in the facilitation of treatment and recovery plans, and actively contribute to patient assessments and progress evaluations. Assist in the implementation of rehabilitation treatments under a registered occupational therapist’s guidance Monitor and record the patient’s progress, adapting treatments as necessary Help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and professional tasks Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment Educate patients and family members about the treatment plans and maintenance exercises Assist occupational therapists in assessments and evaluations Ability to follow detailed instructions Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of therapy and rehabilitation principles and practices Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records Capability to handle physical demands of assisting patients Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certification from an accredited OTA program; Licensed as an OTA where required
