Job DescriptionThe Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will execute marketing and outreach activities including but not limited to updating website, managing social media accounts, drafting outreach materials, and assisting with the implementation of organizational communication strategies.This position may require occasional evening and/or weekend hours.This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position 2 days can be done remotely.Responsibilities:Essential functions of the position are below. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

• In collaboration with Director of Marketing and Communications, develop and implement strategies and tactics to attract new consumers through marketing and outreach activities.
• Create and update content for online media including website, social media channels, and e-newsletters.
• Work with Directors to implement marketing strategies to advance outreach into communities of diversity with populations disenfranchised by economic, social, cultural factors.
• Work with the Development Department to develop outreach materials in tandem with Development events and outreach activities.
• Design marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
• Actively participate in the Outreach Committee.
• Provide administrative support in planning for agency events/conferences/program and provide on-site support during these as needed.
• Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, legislative activities, appearances and other marketing and outreach opportunities.
• Draft invitations and direct mail, newsletter articles, emails, event collateral, and presentations as needed.
• Design and develop social media posts and videos to support agency outreach activities.
• Take photographs to support agency publicity.
• Coordinate and manage supply of marketing materials, including translated literature
• Participate in outreach meetings with Senior Directors and Managers (in person, over the telephone, etc.) and multi-service community organizations such as senior centers, libraries, doctors' offices, health centers, emergency rooms, housing developments, supermarkets, legislators' offices, food pantries, banks, restaurants, and partner agencies for outreach opportunities.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; individuals with degrees in marketing, communication, public relations, or business strongly encourage to apply. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Experience updating and managing websites, social media pages, content management systems, online email services, and other basic marketing platforms.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Position is especially well-suited for those interested in mission-based, non-profit organization, government funded services, aging issues, health care, and supporting diverse communities.
  • Innovative and critical thinker, diligent, detail-oriented and exceptional ability to work with others.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, internet usage and the ability and willingness to learn additional software programs. Knowledge of design programs, WordPress, and Constant Contact.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs.
