Mathematics Teacher, Grades 7-12
The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for implementing Mystic
Valley Regional Charter School?s (MVRCS) mathematics program in
Grades 7-12. The Mathematics Teacher delivers instruction according
to the Saxon Math program, both in curriculum and methodology.
MVRCS?s high school program features the rigorous and
world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) program, and high
school mathematics assignments may include IB coursework.
+ Execute a program of study according to the documented
curricula, Saxon Math and, if applicable, IB. Teachers are
generally assigned five subject-area classes, each of which meets
+ Deliver instruction using Saxon Math and IB methodology.
+ Deliver lessons and units of instruction that are based on
clear learning objectives.
+ Assess student progress on a regular basis, providing progress
reports and report cards as required.
+ Execute standardized testing, as directed by the Mathematics
Department Chair and the Leadership Team.
+ Collaborate and communicate on a weekly basis with colleagues
in the mathematics department, including the Department Chair.

curriculum, instruction, assessment, data analysis, and

classroom management with fidelity.
+ Attend all staff meetings and participate in staff development

+ At least a bachelor?s degree in Mathematics.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and
