Job DescriptionNew England Coffee is one the largest, independent family owned coffee roasters in the Boston area. HOURS: Monday-Friday, 3rd Shift 12:00AM-8:00AMOur Machine Operators are key to the success of running our quality products and are responsible for safely operating production equipment within our coffee manufacturing facility, ensuring that products are produced timely and efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management
• Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
• Completes change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line
• Learns and maintains customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
• Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
• Accurately completes all quality, traceability, and production paperwork
• Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor
• Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and ensures all tools are accounted for
• Follows all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
• Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of machine operating/production experience preferred
  • Technical skills include the ability to start and stop equipment, complete a changeover, and operate one piece of equipment
  • Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
  • Leadership skills include a positive attitude, being a team player and self-leadership
  • Ability to understand and communicate proficiently in English
