the TD Garden.Position HighlightsThe Emergency Communications
Specialist is responsible for the effective communications and call
entry for all calls coming into the Communications Center from
persons requesting emergent or non-emergent medical service.This is

Emergency Communications Specialists are a lifeline to the person
on the other end of the phone and have the opportunity to make a
difference in the lives of those who are calling for
help.Cataldo/Atlantic Ambulance Service is currently hiring
Full-Time and Part-Time Emergency Communications Specialists in our
Malden and Peabody Communications Centers. Starting salary range is
$18-20 hr. Applicants with experience will be offered a rate
competitive with their years of experience.Various schedules are
available to include 3-4 day work weeks. Day, evening and overnight
shifts are required as well as weekends and Holidays.Key
ResponsibilitiesWork involves receiving and processing all
non-emergency and emergency medical calls, rapidly gather relevant
information during call screening process, provide pre-arrival
instructions to a caller when applicable and dispatch the
appropriate level of EMS responders. Additional duties include the
scheduling and dispatching of ambulances and chair car for routine
and emergent transports. Candidates must have good customer service
skills, be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, possess
outstanding communication and organizational skills, have the
ability to multitask, and proficient in the utilization of computer
aided dispatch systems (CAD).
