As Research Associate, you will:

Job Description:
A position is available for a bioanalytical scientist to join a protein mass spectrometry laboratory lab in Client's Pharmacokinetics Dynamics and Metabolism department. The lab based role will focus on small scale preparation of biological samples such as cells, tissues or plasma for subsequent mass spectrometry measurement. This includes lysis, protein immunoprecipitation using beads and antibodies, protein digestions, filtration, pre-concentrations of proteins and peptide digests. The successful candidate is detail-oriented and, following training, can operate independently. This position requires demonstrated experience in successfully executing complex bioanalytical procedures. Expertise in immunoanalytical workflows and in protein biochemistry, or proteomics techniques is a plus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis --- Design of experiments in collaboration with colleagues --- Conduct analytical experiments and method development as needed --- Identify and exploit new scientific concepts --- Interpretation and documentation of experimental results --- Maintaining high quality record in electronic lab notebook

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS/MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields
BS + 3 years exp --- MS + 1 year exp


TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LCMS analysis --- Operation of laboratory equipment --- Works well both independently and as part of a team. Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix-environment --- Strong data organization, analysis


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday / First shift.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $30.00-$37.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
