Job Description:

Responsible for monitoring daily food safety and food quality controls; including, but not limited to, product and process inspections and evaluations and compliance with the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Verifies that inspections and analyses are conducted within the established frequencies. Monitors the effectiveness of the plant sanitation program.Responsibilities:--- Communicate effectively to a bilingual staff and management team. --- Enforce company standards developed through the Food Safety and Quality Management System, monitoring compliance and documenting non-compliances. --- Conduct internal inspections and audits, gathering crucial data and documenting findings. --- Monitor and verify critical limits, product specifications, and food safety and quality controls within established frequencies. --- Monitor plant sanitation through visual inspection and microbiological testing. --- Assist with the development of employee training and provide guidance to the staff on the requirements of the Food Safety and Quality Management System. --- Assist with the development of work instructions, product and process testing, controlled documents and registers, and other related activities. --- Monitor and maintain food safety and quality records. --- Identify and document non-conforming product or equipment. --- Remain current with regulatory and company guidelines and requirements regarding food safety and food quality. --- Support management in other related duties, as required.Desired Background/Skills:--- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience within the food safety/food quality industry is preferred --- HACCP knowledge is a plus.Other Information:The employee must have the ability to work with milk, egg, tree nut, wheat, peanut, and soybean products, in addition to many other ingredients.
