MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent (BA or BS preferred)
• 10 + years of previous manufacturing experience, including supervisory experience
• Previous experience coaching or mentoring employees on skills and techniques for best practice.
• Experience with Quality, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement preferred.
• Previous experience scheduling and planning preferred.
• Prior J-STD / IPC610 experience preferred
• Analytical problem solving and root cause analysis skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office to include Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.ABOUT THE JOB! The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily activities of an assigned manufacturing area. This includes the general quality of work, planning and training of employees, as well as performance evaluations and discipline. This position will communicate assignments effectively so that daily production schedules are achieved.
  RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee assigned production lines, equipment, and manufacturing personnel assigned area.
  • Ensure that all personnel are trained in accordance with department work instructions, company SOPs and safety practices.
  • Accurately document and address employee disciplinary issues and conduct personnel performance appraisals.
  • Bring disciplinary issues to the attention of the department manager and HR when appropriate.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing team to meet the daily production requirements.
  • Ensure all members of assigned personnel are crossed trained in accordance with their capabilities.
  • Establish an effective organizational structure capable of handling the complexity and challenges of manufacturing within the value stream.
  • Meet personal and manufacturing goals set by the Production Manager.
  • Support team as required in order to achieve daily, monthly, and annual production requirements.
  • Work with and support Manufacturing Engineering during New Product Introduction efforts.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering in order to solve technical issues as they arise on the production floor.
  • Initiate requests to Manufacturing Engineering, IT, and Facilities for repairs or improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department ensuring that safety and 6S best practices are in place at all times.
  • Ensure line leads are updating communication boards daily for their respective work cells.
  • Ensure that continuous improvement in the areas of lean, visual aids, and product flow are occurring regularly within each assigned work cell.
  • Maintain company Quality Management System (QMS) standards and requirements as defined.
  • Perform all functions per Manufacturing Work Instructions, Routers and verbal instruction. Conduct routine audits to ensure the integrity of the process controls in place.
  • Ensure that all production documentation and records are completed, are accurate, and are stored as defined.
  • Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
