Consulting Senior Associate, Engineering (Entry Level)
Overview
ERM is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Consulting Senior Associate, Engineering to join our expanding team in Hartford, CT. The role involves working on site investigation, remediation, and hazardous waste management projects within our Great Lakes Northeast Business Unit, with potential travel across the U.S. and globally. This position offers the chance to collaborate with ERM's technical experts, apply the latest investigation and remediation technologies, and gain experience toward professional registration.
Responsibilities

• Support remediation system design and installation.
  
• Conduct piping system assessments and prepare design drawings.
  
• Perform field work including sampling, aquifer testing, drilling oversight, and soil logging.
  
• Coordinate drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
  
• Oversee construction and operation of environmental remediation systems.
  
• Analyze environmental data and assist in report preparation for regulatory agencies.
  
• Review groundwater chemistry data and create supporting figures for reports.
  
• Conduct Phase I and II environmental site assessments for property transactions.
  
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining safety standards.
  
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, regulators, clients, and team members.
  
  Minimum Requirements
  
  
• BSc in environmental engineering or related field, or equivalent of 8+ years' experience.
  
• 1-2 years of relevant experience and willingness to perform field assignments.
  
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Detail-oriented with troubleshooting skills.
  
• Environmental field experience and OSHA HAZWOPER certification are a plus.
  
• Willingness to travel up to 75% regionally; 25% office work.
  
• Valid driver's license and commitment to safety protocols.
  
  Compensation & Benefits
  Annual base salary ranges from $64,960 to $77,317 USD, based on various factors including experience and location. Bonus eligibility varies. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, health insurance, 401(k), and more.
