Job Description:
The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery at the
University of Vermont College of Medicine, and its affiliated
medical center, the University of Vermont Medical Center, is
seeking a BC/BE Bariatric/General Surgeon to join the faculty in
the Department of Surgery in our Center of Excellence designated
bariatric surgery program. Candidates must be board certified in
General Surgery or board eligible with plans for certification and
be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont and
eligible to work in the United States. Duties include educational
responsibilities for medical students and general surgery residents
from UVM, as well as clinical research. Furthermore, the position
entails providing bariatric and general surgical services to the
patient population served by our tertiary care hospital. Meanwhile,
our institution will provide resources conducive to faculty
development, educational opportunities, clinical productivity, and
scientific excellence. This is a full-time, 12-month salaried
faculty appointment in the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the rank of
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor and carries
with it attending staff privileges at University of Vermont Medical
Center as part of University of Vermont Health Medical Group.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with ability and experience.

of Vermont Health Medical Group as Vermont’s only academic medical
