This role supports early intervention services within a school setting, serving children throughout the 12-month school year. Responsibilities include: Providing physical therapy evaluations, treatment, and consultative services to students with diverse needs in early intervention programs. Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs). Documenting therapy sessions and progress notes in compliance with school district policies. Supporting students' functional mobility and participation in educational activities. Adhering to all state and federal regulations related to school-based physical therapy services. Preferred qualifications and experience: Valid physical therapy license for the state of Rhode Island. Experience working in educational settings with children, particularly in early intervention. Ability to manage a caseload of students requiring therapeutic support services. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators and families. Commitment to supporting students developmental and educational goals.
